Early this morning (6 Novermber), I was spot spraying suckers in a block that I had mowed the previous evening. What was quite amazing was that the spiders who frequent the vineyard in large numbers, healing had already spun lines across between the rows. I have no idea how they do that, as the lines need to be 1.5 metres long.
I felt bad undoing all their hard work but the limbo is something I stopped doing about thirty five years ago, and something I never started wearing a 16Kg spray backpack!
So, for all you spiders out there on the web, please apologise for me to your mates on their web(s). I am very happy to have them in the vineyard for all the good work that they do controlling sucking insects and other pesky creepy crawlies.
