healing Providence 2010 Miguet Pinot Noir” width=”150″ height=”150″ />Pinot Noir is certainly one of the best Tasmanian wines this island produces and certainly the most prolific. The 2010 Providence Tasmanian Pinot Noir is deserving of the “Miguet” label, reserved for wines that are top class. Because we produce such small quantities, each vintage is quite unique. This wine is being shown at cellar door alongside the 2009 vintage and clients are having trouble choosing between them. Even though their characters are quite different, the 2010 has a softer palate and a delightful fruit nose complete with violets. Again, the wine is still very young and will develop well as the acid base is sufficient to allow that. A beautiful accompaniment to lamb, quail, veal and pasta. I enjoyed it with tagliatelle pasta in a creamy sauce with spring onions, dill and hot smoked Tasmanian trout. Wow!
